Gotham developed and built this 330,000 square-foot condominium building adorning 145th Street corridor. The Langston is the latest work in Gotham’s long history of construction in historic Harlem and the second in a series of three residential projects that Gotham built. Using a more traditional building approach, Gotham used brick and plank baring wall construction for the superstructure. Gotham’s experience and foresight helped overcome the installation challenge of three distinct levels of finishes.

The Langston is a prototype success story, combining housing opportunities under one roof for mixed-income households to create a wider economic spectrum of ownership. The top two floor exteriors are penthouse duplexes, each one featuring 18-foot glass window walls, a dual-entry door system and private terraces. Additionally, 30,000 square feet of ground and mezzanine-level retail houses Starbucks®, NY Sports Club and Bank of America. The Langston lobby is a warm earthy combination of Natural Wenge Tropical Hardwood paneling, Quartz Terrazzo flooring and stainless steel accents. There are concierge and doorman services, a private fitness facility and residents’ terrace.
