The famed 19th century architect James Renwick Jr. designed the original Renwick building circa 1888. Gotham was careful to preserve the building’s intricate and detailed Gothic façade of arches and trefoil arch details on the upper windows. The greatest challenge was reconstructing and expanding the original loft building into a 69-unit luxury cooperative.

The building has eight floors and 45 units including studios to two bedrooms and a handful of larger units. The duplex-style penthouses have large private terraces on the upper level just outside the master suite. The new central courtyard now has a 50-foot atrium. The Renwick is conveniently located near Union Square and famous Greenmarket.
